We do our Horseback riding tours in northeastern Slovakia, in the Low Beskids region, known for its untouched forests, abundant wildlife, and gentle trails that are perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The journey begins in a small horse farm in Stropkov district and follows historic forest tracks through beech woodlands and scenic Carpathian meadows. We travel at an easy, relaxed pace, with several short stops for expert interpretation and one longer break to enjoy refreshments.

Our guide is a wilderness expert who has spent over 20 years specializing in wolf observation in this region. During the excursion, he will lead us along authentic wolf trails and explain how to identify wolf tracks, as well as signs of other wild animals in their natural habitat.
He will also share personal stories, firsthand experiences, and his deep knowledge of Carpathian wolves, making this tour a truly unique and educational wildlife tracking adventure in Slovakia.
Itinerary:
Our journey begins with a scenic ride north through the valley, taking us deep into the heart of the Eastern Carpathians. We will reach a mountain pass before following the yellow hiking trail toward the Beskyd Saddle — one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in this remote part of Slovakia.
From there, we continue toward Beskyd Mountain and join a cycling route that gently descends into the peaceful Driečna Valley. Along the way, we cross a stunning Carpathian meadow, where we will take a longer break and give the horses time to graze.
This meadow is also a very special place, where we can share our own unforgettable experience of encountering wolves in the wild — making this tour a truly authentic wolf tracking adventure in Slovakia.
After our rest, we return to the saddle and ride along the Driečna ridge, heading south while searching for signs of wolf presence, tracks, and other wildlife activity in their natural habitat.
We will make one more short stop to enjoy panoramic views over the valley, have refreshments, and then ride back through forests and open meadows to the village of Suchá, completing this unique horseback riding and wildlife tour in the Carpathian Mountains.
