- Horses are sensitive and easily startled. Stay calm around them and never wave your arms or legs unnecessarily.
- Avoid raising your voice unless absolutely necessary — horses have extremely sensitive hearing and can even detect your breathing. Observe their ears to understand their mood and surroundings.
- Wearing protective gear (helmet and back protector) is recommended, especially for beginners.
- Mute your mobile phone, even though reception in these mountains is often limited.
- Do not linger around the horse’s hind legs. Even small movements or passing insects can startle a horse.
- Be careful with your feet near hooves. Horses are heavy (around 400 kg), so wear sturdy, full-leather footwear.
- Always listen to and follow the instructor’s directions, even if you are an experienced rider. Every horse has its own personality.
- Provide accurate information about your weight and age. Hucul horses can carry up to 150 kg, but we recommend a maximum of 90 kg for these rides. Minimum age for independent riding is 12 years (younger riders may be allowed in exceptional cases).
- Do not feed horses by hand! Feeding can create bad habits and may lead to biting. If feeding is allowed, throw food to the ground only.
- We are not responsible for injuries. Following the instructor’s guidance greatly reduces risk, but courage and a positive attitude are essential.
- Before riding, all participants must complete a declaration form.
